Mckenna and I had a whole bunch of activities planned but the girls were enjoying each others company so much that we chose not to do a lot of them.
In youth group we have been talking about the importance of fellowship and community with one another. It was awesome to see the girls walking it out at girls night. There was no drama and they all treated one another with great love.
One of my favorite things we did was encouragement bags. Each girl decorated a bag then they were filled with love notes from the other girls. It was such a powerful moment to empower each student to give one another the love they desperately need some days. This is going to be an amazing tool they can look back at when they are at low points.
During this time we were listing to music and several of the students requested "Reckless Love" which was a song from Junior High summer camp. This turned into a mini worship session with almost every girl belting the words. It was such a powerful and life-giving moment.
I am so excited to see how God continues to shape these amazing young ladies.
